  Dr Brown is a really good Dr and listens to your needs and checks things very thoroughly. Make sure you book in advance as she is hard to get into.

  Sadly the only plus was I was always able to get in to see the doctor the day I rang. But am very let down with the service once we ended up going to a paediatrician recently, who advised us our 4 month old baby was underweight. Should have gained at least 600g within the last month, but only gained 85g.
  Had been seeing Dr Brown since he was 9 weeks old who kept telling us I overfeed him (breastfed baby), and to push out feeds to 4 hourly, as well as saying all the crying was from reflux and encouraged us every visit to put him on prescribed medication,
  Losec.
  Luckily my motherly instincts stuck and we never did, we have since topped him up on formula based on the advice from the paediatrician and he is a changed and much happier baby.
  Found Dr Brown very stuck in her old school ways, and too often referred to ‘back when I was a mother’, rather than being in the present.
  Every time we went she was reasonably accommodating and chatted with us, leaving us feeling a little better as new parents, but bottom line we were there for our young baby which we believe she should have examined him more thoroughly, especially when she weighed him (did with clothes on). Plus after every visit we were charged the long consult fee of $120.
  Had another girlfriend with first baby have similar experience with Dr Brown.
  We have since changed GP’s. Wouldn’t recommend doctor to new parents.
